Opawa (or “_paoa” meaning”Smoky River” in Maori). The Opawa River formed the stony vineyard soils which are responsible for the delicious aromas and flavours in Opawa wines. Opawa wines are crafted with minimal intervention.

Oxford Landing – Australia
Description

It takes an amazing amount of vision to look at a patch of sunburnt red soil and imagine a vineyard bursting with fruit. That’s exactly what the late Wyndham Hill-Smith did when he founded Oxford Landing in 1958. Oh, what a palette Mother Nature provided; vivid red soil, clear blue skies, multi-coloured native birds, towering gum trees, and sunlight dancing on the river.

Paradigm Estate – United States
Description

Owned and managed by Ren and Marilyn Harris, two winegrowers with extraordinarily deep roots in Napa Valley. Marilyn’s grandparents immigrated from Italy to Napa Valley in 1890, while Ren’s family came to California in 1769. Marilyn and Ren moved to Napa Valley in the 1960’s and settled into their home just east of where Paradigm sits today. Our winemaking “style” is solely determined by this place or terroir we call “Paradigm.” Winemaking is agriculture when you own your vineyards and are able to farm them to promote the very best Earth will give you.

Paul Jaboulet Aine – France
Description

Jaboulet has one of the longest histories of any winery or negociant in the world. Originally founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet in the Northern Rhone Valley, the company is currently owned by the Frey family with Caroline Frey at the healm as winemaker. The estate’s 1961 Hermitage La Chapelle is classed as one of the 12 mythical wines of the 20th century.

Pewsey Vale Vineyard’s love affair with Riesling started in 1847 when it was the first vineyard planted in Eden Valley. A hidden utopia, our family started to reinvigorate Pewsey Vale Vineyard in 1961. The focus fell sharply on the beauty and diversity of Riesling in its many forms. One vineyard. One variety. One vision. This vision has seen Pewsey Vale Vineyard create the most awarded and beloved Rieslings in Australia.

Pierre Sparr – France

The origin of the winemaking family Sparr goes back to 1680. During WWII Sigolsheim and its vineyards have been completely destroyed. With a lot of courage and obstinacy Pierre Sparr rebuilt one of Alsace’s most beautiful and prestigious Domaines. His sons René and Charles contributed to the enlargement of the vineyards and the development of the European markets which gave a new dimension to the company. Nowadays, with the help of the 9th generation, the aim is still to perpetuate tradition, passion and emotion.

The Taittinger family has managed the Champagne House for nearly a century. Its aim has always been the pursuit of excellence. “Having our family name on a bottle places demands and responsibilities on every minute.
