Domaine Carneros is a singular Napa Valley winery best known as a small grower-producer of mthode traditionelle sparkling wine, Pinot Noir, estate vineyards, and a breathtakingly beautiful chteau. Founded by the noble family behind Champagne Taittinger, Domaine Carneros was established in 1987 when Claude Taittinger selected a 138-acre parcel in the heart of Carneros, Napa Valley.
Poised atop the Dundee Hills, with gentle slopes that capture the breezes and sunshine, our 235-acre estate overlooking the Willamette Valley produces some of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit in the world. Our densely planted vines are farmed sustainably, L.I.V.E. certified, and tended to by hand when leaves and fruit are thinned; harvesting is also done entirely by hand.
When Fess Parker purchased the 714-acre Foxen Canyon Ranch in 1988, he planned to run cattle, plant a few acres of vineyard, and perhaps, someday, establish a small winery. His dream was to start a family business that he could pass on to future generations. Eli Parker and his sister Ashley Parker Snider are now the stewards of their father’s vision for the family portfolio of businesses. Eli and Ashley work closely with Winery President, Tim Snider and their children, Spencer Shull and Greer Shull.
Owned and managed by Ren and Marilyn Harris, two winegrowers with extraordinarily deep roots in Napa Valley. Marilyn’s grandparents immigrated from Italy to Napa Valley in 1890, while Ren’s family came to California in 1769. Marilyn and Ren moved to Napa Valley in the 1960’s and settled into their home just east of where Paradigm sits today. Our winemaking “style” is solely determined by this place or terroir we call “Paradigm.” Winemaking is agriculture when you own your vineyards and are able to farm them to promote the very best Earth will give you.
